The Coal Mine was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Antioch Coal Miners and Astoria Argonauts.

The Antioch Coal Miners managed to get by the Astoria Argonauts, 6-5, at The Coal Mine. Antioch left fielder Josh McBroom set himself apart with his performance. The slumping Argonauts have dropped 6 in a row.

Antioch took a 3-2 lead on Kyle Higgins's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Higgins hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Astoria pitcher Ernie Jones visibly frustrated.

In his postgame comments, Coal Miners manager Jordan Hay heaped praise on McBroom. "For a young player, he's done a lot of good things for us."
