Jones Pops Two Homers in 9-5 Win for Thunder Bay
Jordan Jones left his imprint on the 9-5 Thunder Bay win against the Billings Mustangs. Jones hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Thunder Bay pitcher Mario Reza earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Gene Martin suffered the loss. Thunder Bay, at 47-39, holds down third place in the RCL AAA Tony La Russa Division.

Andy Bowers came through with a big-time hit for Thunder Bay. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning makes the heart grow fonder -- for more winning," said Jones, cracking a smile.
