Black Bears Dealt 5-2 Loss by State College
State College turned a fine outing from starter Eli Carpenter into a victory over the Thunder Bay Black Bears at Stars Field. The final score was 5-2. Jay Clayton earned save number 7. The triumph makes State College 22-43.

Chris Lewis had a big 2-run home run for the Swallowtails in the bottom of the sixth inning. With State College leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Jayden Smith, who is tied for 10th in the RAAA in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Swallowtails on top, 4-1.

"Do what you're good at," said State College manager Afalku Coffie. "That's all I ask of the team."
