State College Swallowtails starter Steve Stevens pitched a strong game against the Billings Mustangs at Stars Field, leading the Swallowtails to victory, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Stevens, now 5-4. He tossed 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Randy McCafferty collected his 1st save.

The Swallowtails got a big at-bat from right fielder Herberto Tonilhas. For the game, Tonilhas was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave State College a 1-0 lead.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Tonilhas said after the game.
