The Albuquerque Cacti topped the Fort Worth Cats, 6-2, in RCL AAA action at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Albuquerque pitcher and Rossville, Maryland, native Chris Burton. John Goff locked down his 2nd save. The victory gives the Cacti a record of 36-23.

Dave Phillips had a big 2-run home run for the Cacti in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Albuquerque leading 3-2 and a runner on 2nd, he got a knuckleball from Andrew Shackleton and swatted a home run to left. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cacti ahead, 5-2.

Said losing manager Dudha Goli: "Give the Cacti credit. They played a better game than we did."
