Despite the exploits of first baseman David Parker, the Madison Muskies were beaten by the State College Swallowtails, 9-8, in 11 innings. Parker went 5-6 with a home run and 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Aaron Berry, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. With the win over Madison, the Swallowtails improved to 27-32.

The Swallowtails got a clutch hit from designated hitter Will Burkhardt. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Swallowtails.

"On the outside I was calm," said Swallowtails manager Afalku Coffie. "But inside I was a nervous wreck."
