Jacksonville Sends Buffalo Packing with 7-1 Loss
The Jacksonville Pilots beat the Buffalo Bison, 7-1, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Starting pitcher German Gil was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Gil got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Jacksonville, now 13-8, has played well in the early going.

Sam Corson helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Jacksonville a 2-0 lead.

"German had himself a pretty good evening," said Jacksonville manager Ryan Currie.
