Wind Come Back Late to Clip Racers
Bowling Green left fielder Roberto Meza had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Meza was 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Waimea beat the Racers, 7-6. Meza was named the player of the game despite the loss. Cory Rohr picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Jeff Van Wormer was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Waimea sits at 21-23, while Bowling Green falls to 13-34.

Alex Guevara was the walk-off hero for Waimea. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wind left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Guevara.
