The Minneapolis Freeze knocked off the Calgary Cowboys, 4-3, in TML AAA action at The Ice Box. Minneapolis pitcher and Holden, Massachusetts, native Tommy Cedrone had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was Cedrone, now 2-2. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 9. With the win, Minneapolis raised its record to 22-16.

Minneapolis went up, 4-3, on Rob Heyward's 14th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Heyward hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Calgary pitcher Bobby Mendoza shaking his head.

"It never gets old," said Cedrone. "Winning, that is."
