Helt Shines in 7-3 Pasadena Win
Pasadena and Albany got after it at Capital Grounds.

A good performance from designated hitter Robby Helt helped the Pasadena Bumblebees defeat the Albany Firebirds, 7-3. Helt hit 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times for the Bumblebees. George White was the winner. He's now 6-0. The loser was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bill Oestreich.

Pasadena grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Helt hit a 2-run home run off Bill Oestreich. His 11th home run of the season put the Bumblebees out in front, 5-3.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Pasadena manager David Williams.

The loss puts Albany at 11-15.
