The Billings Mustangs and Amarillo Armadillos met at Armadillos Park to settle a score.

Riding the 3-hit performance of the 17-year old first baseman James Adkinson, the Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Billings Mustangs, 12-2. Biagio Strambi got the win, improving to 3-1. He worked 7.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 7.

Danny Aurelio had a big run-scoring double for the Armadillos in the bottom of the first inning. With Amarillo leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Justin Frisbie and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Armadillos ahead, 2-0.

"We stunk tonight," said losing manager Brad Lyons, matter-of-factly.

Billings falls to 8-16.
