Astoria left-hander Gomez Roches pitched his team to victory over the Billings Mustangs at Golden Fleece Park. The final score was 7-2. Roches, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 8.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The loss has the Mustangs at 12-8.

Mike Coyle had a big grand slam home run for the Argonauts in the bottom of the second inning. With Astoria leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a knuckle curve from John Felder and swatted a home run to left. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Argonauts ahead, 5-0.
