The Astoria Argonauts got a superb performance from pitcher Eric Foley, but the Reno Raiders still won the game, 4-3. Foley threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Scott Bertram, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Reno has a mark of 10-8 after the win.
In the bottom of the 6th, left fielder Marco Hinojosa gave Reno the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Raiders had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Astoria pitcher Ron Elliott changed that -- and Reno went on to win.
"I still think this team can play even better," Hinojosa told the Reno Bulletin.
