Beaches Suffer 3-2 Road Loss
Hurler Eric Church gave the State College Swallowtails a solid start. The native of Pennsville, New Jersey helped his team defeat the Cozumel Beaches, 3-2, at Stars Field. The Beaches, at 5-12, have stumbled out of the gate.

Will Burkhardt had a big 2-run double for the Swallowtails in the bottom of the fourth inning. With State College leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a circle change from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Elijah Gourdine and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Swallowtails ahead, 3-0.

After the game, State College manager Afalku Coffie applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
