The Astoria Argonauts picked up a win at Cobb Field, knocking off the Billings Mustangs, 7-1. Starting pitcher Gomez Roches played a key role in the triumph. Roches got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. With the win, Astoria elevates its record to 4-6.
Ben Waugh helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Astoria a 2-0 lead.
