Black Bears Pick Up 4-1 Win Over Baton Rouge
With catcher Matt McIntyre leading the charge, the Thunder Bay Black Bears defeated the Baton Rouge Outlaws, 4-1, at Coca Cola Stadium. McIntyre went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Thunder Bay reliever Jason Morey picked up the win to move to 1-0. Greg Marshik suffered the loss. Baton Rouge is 2-5 after the defeat.

Early in the game, McIntyre had a solo home run for Thunder Bay. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Black Bears on top, 1-0.

McIntyre told a Thunder Bay Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
