The Billings Mustangs downed the Reno Raiders, 11-5. The hitting star was first baseman Tullio Nucci. Nucci belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Mustangs. Santiago Sanchez picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 2 in 6.2 innings. Jeremy Balla picked up his 1st save of the season.

Gene Crowell helped out the Billings cause in the bottom of the second inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the shortstop went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It was our day today," Crowell told the Billings News. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
