Blazers Losing Streak at 7 After Extra-Inning Loss to Mounties
Led by Chris Romanko, the Montreal Mounties downed the Bloomington Blazers, 9-8, in 11 innings. Romanko was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Mounties. Montreal pitcher Jim LeMay got the win. He's now 1-0. Jason Phillips was tagged with the loss. The second-place Blazers have dropped 7 straight games.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Montreal. That's when Ethan Williams hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Jason Phillips to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Bloomington manager Leo Dethwright.
