Galdamez goes 3-for-3 to Power Luchadores Offense
|
Leo Galdamez made an impact in the 6-4 Mexico City win over Havana. Galdamez, who led the RCL in triples with 10 in 2063, went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Eric Lewis was credited with the save, his 10th in 14 tries. Mexico City's record now stands at 69-90, placing them 5th in the Roberto Clemente League International Division.
Jonathan Sibiga, who is tied for 4th in the RCL with a .396 on-base percentage, aided the Mexico City cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 4 with a double.
Mexico City manager Tewolde Ojo was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
