Late Rally by Marauders Secures 7-4 Win
|
The fans at Magnificent Marauders Mansion witnessed quite a game.
The Maple Marauders beat the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 7-4, at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Ruben Campos starred for Maple. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Maple reliever Paul Blevins got the win, raising his record to 4-5. Steve Marasco was tagged with the loss.
Maple got a knockout punch from Kevin Spottswood. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"He who laughs last laughs best," Spottswood said, postgame.
Maple has now won 3 in a row.
