Lamanske Shines in 9-7 Montreal Win
Behind the bravura of designated hitter Bob Lamanske, the Montreal Mounties topped the Buffalo Bison by the score of 9-7. Lamanske went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Mounties. Montreal reliever Randy Mowers picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Brendon Wager was saddled with the loss. Bill Wolfe earned the save for Montreal, his 7th of the year.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Mounties grabbed the lead when Lamanske hit his 14th double of the season. The 2-run double off Brendon Wager made it 9-7, Montreal.

"Bob may be green behind the ears," said Mounties manager Julián Martínez. "But he's quickly learning how to contribute."

The Mounties now have a record of 79-52 with the win over Buffalo.
