Mount Royal Grounds was the site for Thurman Munson League action featuring the Buffalo Bison and Montreal Mounties.

The Montreal Mounties defeated the Buffalo Bison by the score of 10-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Steve Frank. Frank went 2-3 with a home run for the Mounties on the day. The winner in relief was Brad Steck. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2. The save went to Jim LeMay, his 27th this season.

Montreal went up, 10-7, on Jose Quinones's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Quinones hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Buffalo pitcher Mike Waldrup muttering to himself.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Quinones.

Montreal bumps their record to 75-56 with the win.
