Chicago defeated Quebec, 9-8, in large part due to three-time All-Star Sean Martineau. Martineau drove in 4 runs. The right fielder had 1 double and 1 home run for the Eclipse. The Eclipse go to 91-61, putting them first in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

Jason Shannon was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eclipse third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Chicago manager Demetrio Recchia.
