The Kansas City Tornadoes and Dallas Texans played an entertaining game for Metroplex Park patrons.

The Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Dallas Texans, 4-3, in part because of left fielder Mike Hernandez. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Kansas City reliever Nate Cory picked up the win, raising his record to 5-1. Mike Boyle was tagged with the loss.

Kansas City used the hitting of Ramon Tapia to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Tornadoes on top, 4-1. For the game, Tapia had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

After the game, Kansas City manager Hen-to Zhou applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

Kansas City occupies 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division at 61-66.
