The Montreal Mounties stymied the Bloomington Blazers, 6-1, at Arson Arena. David Alicea had a good day at the plate. He went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Montreal. Randy Mowers locked down his 3rd save.

Montreal took a 6-1 lead on Alicea's 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Brad Meyer in the top of the eighth, propelled Montreal to the win.

"I think it just wasn't our night," said Bloomington skipper Leo Dethwright.

With the win, Montreal raised its record to 66-50.
