The Milwaukee Millers had to overcome a fine effort from Walnut Creek pitcher John Driscoll to win, 4-2, in 10 innings at Castlerock Field. Driscoll went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mario Solis, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Millers organization, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Darren Rogers. The slumping Warriors have dropped 8 in a row.
Paul Brew III came through with a big-time hit for Milwaukee. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Ruben Torres to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
