Starting pitcher Monty Brewster pitched well enough to help the Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Buffalo Bison, 6-5. Kansas City pitcher Tony Miguel earned the win, hiking his record to 4-9. Bobby Milleville suffered the loss. The triumph puts Kansas City at 53-53 for the season.

The decisive blow was delivered by Eddie Escobar in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 11-year veteran Bobby Milleville to win the game for Kansas City. The home crowd went nuts.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Escobar said in his postgame press conference.
