Bloomington Blazers starter Mike Hursh pitched a strong game against the Buffalo Bison at Arson Arena, leading the Blazers to victory, 6-3. Jason Phillips earned the save for Bloomington, his 30th. The Blazers are now 63-40, while the Bison fall to 58-45.

Bloomington went in front, 5-3, on Edward Rendon's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Rendon hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Buffalo pitcher Bobby Milleville visibly perturbed.

"Mike is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Bloomington manager Leo Dethwright.
