Silicon Valley turned a good effort from starter Aaron Ashe into a win over the Wichita Wolverines at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The final score was 2-0. Dave Recer picked up his 2nd save of the season. Silicon Valley goes to 97-61, Wichita to 61-97.

Silicon Valley took a 2-0 lead on Byron Benjamin's 18th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Benjamin hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Wichita pitcher Luis Segarra visibly frustrated.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Benjamin.
