Dallas designated hitter Chris Sawyer pounded Seattle Sasquatch pitchers at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Texans from falling, 9-7. Sawyer went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Seattle pitcher Jesse Tonini got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jake Williams got the loss. The Sasquatch now have a record of 39-55 with the win over Dallas.

Had Manuel Tijerina not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Tijerina hit a bases-clearing triple. That made the score 9-7, in favor of the Sasquatch.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Tijerina, "but we could've played better."
