Carnes, Butterflies Wreck Texans, 12-1
|
The Pennsylvania Butterflies used an offensive barrage to beat the Dallas Texans, 12-1, at The Kaleidoscope. Nick Carnes, who is tied for 4th in the RCL with a .411 on-base percentage, led the way, going 4-for-5 for Pennsylvania. The Butterflies saw their record improve to 56-37.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Carnes hit a 2-run home run off Mark Walsh. It propelled the Butterflies into the lead, 3-1.
"It kind of got out of hand on us there," said losing manager Lester Burrow.
