Earthquakes Deal Millers 4-3 Defeat
|
Starting pitcher Ryan White pitched well enough to help the San Francisco Earthquakes beat the Milwaukee Millers, 4-3. Quirino Lorenzetti snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-4 on the season. Eric Jerome suffered the loss. Jim LeMay earned his 19th save in 20 chances.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when second baseman Jim Crumm, who is tied for 6th in the TML in doubles with 31, hit a double. The Earthquakes went on to win.
"I had pretty good command out there," said White.
At 44-47, San Francisco is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
