The Peaches grabbed a win, 8-4, at Denis Coderre Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Montreal pitcher Chris Carleton. Carleton went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. The win lifted the Savannah record to 86-67.

Savannah used a clutch at-bat from Vicente Guzman to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Peaches ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Guzman said.
