Islanders Get 7-1 Win Versus The Stinging
|
Coronado Islanders starter Juan Torres was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the The Stinging Larvae, 7-1. Coronado reliever Juan Torres picked up the win, while Felipe Gomez took the loss for The Stinging. The win for the Islanders lifted their record to 84-69.
Chris Richman chipped in a run-scoring walk for Coronado in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Richman told the Coronado Citizen.
