Larvae Need Extra Frames to Get Past Nutcrackers
The The Stinging Larvae overcame a pretty good performance by Normal second baseman Matt Palmer, beating the Nutcrackers, 10-8, in 10 innings. Palmer went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Stinging now sports a record of 74-64.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for The Stinging. That's when Juan Amaya hit a 3-run home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Abundis to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Amaya said.
