The Havana Stogies knocked off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 6-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. Havana pitcher and Angri, Italy, native Fabien Nuvolari had an outstanding performance. Andy Schutt recorded the save, his 19th. Havana goes to 47-49, Cabo San Lucas to 36-62.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Allen Larson came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Cabo San Lucas pitcher Jimmy Sherry, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Havana on top, 5-4.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Nuvolari. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
