Storm Spoil Great Performance by Amaya
The Wichita Storm weathered an outstanding game by The Stinging right fielder Juan Amaya to topple the Larvae, 11-10. Amaya went 4 for 4 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Wichita reliever Oscar Alers picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Adam Carlton took the loss. Mike Herrera closed the game out for Wichita, earning his 3rd save.

The Larvae had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Storm going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old second baseman Antonio Rios came to the plate. Rios hit a 2-run double on a full count cutter from The Stinging hurler Jordan Corral. It was Rios's 3rd double of the year.

"Crazy game," said Rios after it ended.

The third-place Larvae dropped to 58-50.
