Bobadilla scores 4 runs to Light Lighting Fuse
|
The losses keep piling up for the Easton Caterpillars.
In a high-scoring contest between Thunder Bay and Easton, shortstop Manny Bobadilla was a difference-maker. Bobadilla, who is rated as the 36th best prospect by BNN, distinguished himself in the 14-9 Thunder Bay win. He was 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Easton is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 9 in a row.
Manny Gomez went 1 for 2 with 4 walks, while scoring 2 times for Thunder Bay. The 19-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring walk off Carlos Rodriguez. It was his 7th walk of the season.
"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Easton manager Mekonnen Asani.
