Despite a great performance by Clearlake first baseman Victor de la Cruz, the The Stinging Larvae defeated the Captains by the score of 4-2 at The Queen. de la Cruz went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. Gil Agostini finished the game for The Stinging and earned his 4th save. The Larvae, at 16-26, have now won 5 straight.
Bobby Barnes, who is rated as the 84th best prospect by BNN, aided the The Stinging cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs.
