Caribou Suffer 6-3 Road Loss
|
Larvae center fielder John Cantrell put his stamp on his team's 6-3 win over the Frobisher Bay Caribou. Cantrell was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for The Stinging in the contest. Andres Carrasco recorded his 1st save for The Stinging. The Stinging is now 42-39, Frobisher Bay 52-31.
Jean Labbé drove in one run for The Stinging. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Todd Achbar. It was his 25th RBI of the season.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Labbé told the The Stinging Observer.
