The San Francisco Earthquakes weathered an outstanding game by Kansas City center fielder Mike Hernandez to topple the Tornadoes, 8-3. Hernandez was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. One of the clutch hits for San Francisco came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, Junior Leeney, who is tied for 3rd in the TML in RBI with 63, hit a run-scoring single to put the Earthquakes up, 4-3.
