Lerna Lions starter Aaron Rarick was in fine form against the Downsview Mustangs at Visigoths Stadium, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Rarick went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-2. The save went to Chris Hitchcock, his 13th this season.

Lerna used the timely hitting of Bob Daly to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Lions on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Rarick after the game.

Lerna currently is in third place in the Pete Rose Little League Alex Rodriguez Division at 23-26.
