Berger Goes on Rampage Against Maulers
Monday, June 9th , 2064
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Cyril Berger is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Martinsburg Maulers at Exhibition Stadium. The monster effort from the 24-year-old shortstop helped the Toronto Blue Jays get the win, 7-3.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Maulers manager Austin Alexander. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Cyril Berger singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
To date Berger has chalked up a .431 average with 2 home runs, driven in 45 runs and scored 58 times.
