Ducks Stick Aggies with 5-1 Loss
The Oregon Ducks topped the Texas A&M Aggies, 5-1, with youngster Nate Donoghue playing a key role. Donoghue was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Ducks in the win. Matt Shaw, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held Texas A&M to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 9 strikeouts. Travis Thompson finished the game for Oregon and earned his 2nd save.

With Oregon leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Donoghue hit a changeup from Ryan Wylie for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Ducks ahead, 3-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Oregon manager Peter Hawkins. "Our pregame was pretty good."
