Hits Galore: Nieves Drills 5 Hits Tuesday, July 22nd , 2064 The Savannah Peaches couldn't stop David Nieves, but they stopped the Montreal Cardinals, 6-5. Nieves went 5-for-5 in the game at Martin Field, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score. "I feel bad for David -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Montreal manager Emmanuel Even. "The Peaches were on their game today." David Nieves singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jose Atilano in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
