League Issues 6-Game Suspensions for Brawl Monday, June 2nd , 2064 Baseball officials have notified the Pirates and Nutcrackers organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Paradise Island-Normal contest at Predator Park. Masanobu Ohashi of the Pirates and Edwin Gomez of the Nutcrackers will have to sit out 6 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl. For the season, Ohashi is hitting .240, batted in 29 runs with 8 home runs and 26 runs scored. In 2 starts this year, Gomez has posted no wins while suffering 1 loss. He has pitched 9.1 innings, allowed 9 hits, struck out 7 and has a 4.82 ERA. |
