The Oconto Falls Timbers second baseman went 0-for-5 in his team's 9-4 loss to the Savannah Peaches at The Cove. "It's not just Jose who came up short," Timbers manager Jian-guo Yang said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." This season, Mendoza has hit 11 home runs and posted a .348 batting average. |
