Cyclones Baez Booms 3 HRs Wednesday, May 14th , 2064 Brooklyn second baseman Jose Baez blasted three homers at Scripps Field in the 6-4 Cyclones victory over the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas. For the game, Jose Baez scored 3 times and knocked in 4 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Baez when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-4, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Baez told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Jose Baez hit a two-run home run off Fernando Arriaga in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Fernando Arriaga in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Seikichi Morinaka in the 8th. So far this year, Baez is batting .417 with 4 home runs and 11 RBIs. |
