Syracuse Eliminated from Playoff Contention Sunday, September 16th , 2063 The Syracuse Orange Sox may feel they were as good as the playoff teams this year, but the club has ultimately fallen short of qualifying and will watch the postseason from the sidelines. "It's frustrating because we really feel like we could have given any of the teams a run for their money," said third baseman Geoff Sappington. Syracuse last appeared in the postseason in 2055. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 9 times in their 10-year history. |
