Normal's Cruz to Miss 5 Months Monday, September 3rd , 2063 The season is ending on a bad note for Ricky Cruz, reliever for the Normal Nutcrackers. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Cruz was hurt against the Oconto Falls Timbers while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn labrum and will be out for at least 5 months. Cruz has taken the mound for 23 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 2-3 record with a 11.90 ERA. The Normal reliever has limited opposing batters to a .353 batting average. |
