Lighting Are Champs of RCL R John Mayberry Division Monday, September 3rd , 2063 The city of Thunder Bay is buzzing tonight as their hometown club has captured a division title. The Thunder Bay Lighting officially laid claim to the RCL R John Mayberry Division crown today and will now turn attention to preparing for a run at the franchise's 3rd Rookie League Championship. "We may have been far ahead in the standings, but you never take anything for granted until it's official," said center fielder Roberto Perez. "I've seen too many strange things happen in baseball to ever assume the playoffs is a guarantee." But it now is in fact a guarantee for the club, which currently has a 58-17 record and has easily stood out as the class of the division this season. |
