3-HR Dream Game for Monreal

In a powerful performance that left the fans at Castro Field buzzing, Brooklyn Cyclones catcher Victor Monreal blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 9-0, over the Caribbean Commies.
"Everything was clicking," Monreal told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Monreal shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Cyclones manager Jerry Cruz said. "Victor played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Victor Monreal struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jesus Ruiz in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesus Ruiz in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Sal Penalosa in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
To date, Monreal has collected 39 hits for a .238 average. He has posted 10 home runs, scored 23 runs and driven in 38 runs.
